Do you all remember hammering Revowl on here for saying as far back as 2 months ago that there was no way on earth that Hafis Mammadov was going to take over Sheffield Wednesday FC? I think it's now about time that all you people that slaughtered him including you ED held your hands up and appologised to him and admit that he was right all along and you lot were all very wrong. He's seen through MM for over a year now and everything that Revowl has said on here has proved to be right. I even remember him warning us of Dave Jones in the transfer market and how right he was. He warned us of MM's feel good rumours and how he would tell us anything just to gloss over the cracks. I know you're all desperate for things to be good at S6 but let's get our heads out of the ground and face facts.
3.) Your right STRAD also I remember myself posting that MM should stick his hand in his pocket and offer a bridging loan for players as he was so confident of the take over. But I got a reply which still I can't understand putting in my place so to speak satinting during a take over there will be no finacial ins or outs. So I reluctantly gave MM the benefit of the doubt seems not onlt MM is good at dishing out the Bull. Wake up and smell the BS I mean coffee

7.) Regarding your remarks Strad, we are in play off form points wise, the potential owner will most likely be tied up for several months with the problems he has with his business.
I was wondering why we have not heard from AM as you would expect, regular calming statement through the Owls. Now I really believe the man has so much on trying to keep his business going forward that we are a long second in his thoughts.
I have never said he was skint, that's what others say, and I really believe he could make it work, but I think there will come a time when MM gets it regarding the length of time AM needs, and pulls out. MM probably has others ready to move. This if nothing else has given us a high profile recently, and we need the freedom of movement trading on the transfer market.
I hope between now and when any takeover occurs we could introduce three more players midfield, wide, striker.
This will like other seasons have to come from Premiership pedigree to be really effective, or bottom half is on the horizon if the injurys continue to mount from a small base of players, after just three games, two long term injurys allready. It will therefore need more than patience in my view, to resolve matters, and keep us in the mix with concerns specifically in the fire power department, by that I mean only two goals five points, none of which came from our strikers. It would be a great pity to slip to defeats, through lack of quality and quantity bearing in mind the team looks solid, organised, and skill full right now. For the above reasons I think by the 31st August a decision will be made one way or another.
I drove up for the Derby game and thought the passing and movement was superb, long may it continue.
8.) For the record I have agreed with every post on here that has doubted both MM & 'the takeover' which I lost faith in as soon as the Lens issues arose, I just don't seem to enjoy being right quite as much as you boys!

12.) Strad I think you are being very premature asking for an apology from the people who doubted RevOwl. As yet there has been no statement that the takeover has failed and I think MM has been quite open with his statements about what is happening with the takeover and keeping us informed. Secondly I don't feel I have to apologise for what is essentially my own opinion. I am still confident of the takeover happening although I will say that that confidence is starting to dip slightly.

Nofatbirds, clubs are scared to to spend over a million, in part this year because of the new fair play rules where they don't want to use a large chunk of money on just one player but also unless they have a wealthy backer clubs don't want to risk too much on trying to get success and then fail and have too large a wage bill and large debts which will damage there future prospects.
14.) According to azeri press reports HM has been charged with corruption and fraud.
I don't see how the takeover can happen now

16.) SWFC13 your right about the financial fair play league rules but what confuses me is that it is all based on revenue. If that is the case We must be paying our players 15k per week and Rotherham with all their signings must be on the minimum wage.
17.) I'd be more than surprised if we are paying ANY of our players 15k a week. More like 8-10k & that would only be a few such as May, Westwood etc

20.) He seems to have been very open about this takeover so yes. Why so negative Strad? You seem to not like MM for some reason, yes he could have put more money in or sold us earlier but would you rather have someone stable like MM or utterly unstable like the new Leeds chairman

Even if the takeover fell through as far as I'm concerned MM saved the club from years of lower league football and people always point out his connection to Portsmouth and not Leicester (premier league Leicester) who he obviously did sell to the right people.

Strictly speaking No Fat birds you are wrong, Stevie May cost us £800k.
Spending a million on a player does not mean you will get success, Forest spent upwards of £1.5m on Antonio - More fool them.
Don't try telling me you cannot build a decent squad on free transfers, our best three players this season were all free, Westwood, Hutchinson and Lee's.
And as for the MM bashers, I mean really, the man stepped in to save our club when most of you were staying away from Hillsborough.
have a little respect, its clear he wants to take a back seat, but cannot until a suitable buyer is found Mammodov or otherwise, but he is in this for £30m.
So when you say he needs to put his hand in his pocket and blah de blah de blah, on average he has been doing that to the tune of £10m a season since he has been here.
Only because of this are we even a saleable asset, so look at the facts, recognise what he has done and lay off the guy.

Every time I try to recognise all that he's done I can't get past the point of not only employing Dave Jones as the manager of this once fantastic club but keeping him for far too long simply to justify employing him. The damage that they caused between them is still there for all to see. Thank goodness for Stewart Gray.

I think if you're honest you'll admit that it was Megson that really got us promoted.
28.) MM is doing a good job of balancing the books and bringing in the right players to do the job. He hasn't turned his back on us as some would have us believe! We may be lacking in depth, but I don't want to see a load of new dead wood acquired just to fill the gaps. MM is doing the job he was meant to do should the takeover go through. chairman of SWFC!! Should the deal collapse, I'm sure he'll more happily stick his hand in his pocket to protect his OWN investment!
29.) It was Megsons squad but he was starting to not get results and we were heading for playoffs at best. Jones provided the push to secure automatic promotion. Unfortunately he just didn't seem to get the same results and performances from the players the next season and a half. Why MM didn't sack him earlier in last season no one knows, I will admit that was a weird decision but MM had his reasons to wait i'm sure.
30.) Some interesting points above. Swfc I agree with everything except your comment about Antonio which was clearly written before he scored another 2 goals and crossed in for their third! However still think it was good business for us at that price. Oh and Strad, please get over megson and move on. We have season on season since his departure although I agree at the time it was harsh to sack him. Wawaw and were winning 3-0 at boro. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
31.) SG has said he wants another Striker and a Winger but I think we need an attacking Centre Mid a Leftback a Centrehalf and a Winger desperately if we have anymore injuries this great start will go pear shaped.
