3 of our next 4 games are the cliched '6 pointers' - ipswich (8th), cardiff (7th) and derby (5th) . we couldn't have asked for a more challenging run in.

Those 4-1 losses are not.
Hopefully just a 'day off'.

11 Apr 2016 02:19:24
at 4-1 I was hoping we'd win 4-5.

11 Apr 2016 17:18:58
Funny that, me too.

13 Apr 2016 15:09:27
Everyone has that belief in the squad now that we can comeback and win those games 4-5 that's the quality the team has shown all season and it's a breath of fresh air to have that belief in them. But personally I believe that result could be a blessing in disguise wake us up shake us up to get together and start performing again take some form into the playoffs. If we didn't lose that game we could have got comfortable and lost an important game. Get ready now we will be ok cannot wait for playoffs. UTO!

That comment was supposed to answer Deswaddle's question on the other page, lol.

Hi LMN 4 wins on the trot not bad eh, only a few of us talking now because we are winning - which is good because when we are losing we can't get a word in edgeways. Really fancy our chances now everything looking good, another great result against Blackburn so we are keeping on track UTO Hope we are prepared to spend a few bob because we will need to if we make it to the premiership - but I'm sure with our new owners everything is in place and all angles are covered, let's get back to where we belong let's go HOME UTO.

07 Apr 2016 01:49:00
It is hard to find better words than that Eric.
Each week I remember our recent past and have my doubts, but the team keeps proving me wrong.
Long may it last.

27 Mar 2016 10:35:17
Well another boring Saturday! I don't know about you guys but Saturdays don't seem the same when there isn't a game. I am really looking forward to the final run in and being an optimist I am feeling quietly confident especially when you look at the fixtures of our closest rivals. The Ipswich and Derby games would appear to be the crunch games but having said that, they can all be difficult in the championship so fingers crossed - up and at em lads we know you will do us proud UTO.

27 Mar 2016 12:13:48
The England win made up for it though.
What a game.

27 Mar 2016 12:29:32
yep you are right LMN it did ease the pain lol UTO.

19 Mar 2016 20:27:55
two difficult games - two back to back 3 - 0 wins if we had lost these games by the same margin these pages would be full of winge's and moaners BUT WE WON THEM BOTH and what do we see on here NOTHNG . ED why don't you change the name to praise or grumble and forget the praise it would keep you so busy you couldn't cope. 2 Great WINS lads WELL DONE UTO.

Eric we've agreed on a few points previously - but the incredible irony of your post here is fantastic.

06 Mar 2016 08:46:43
No wins in 4 now, I think its time for the management to be sacked! Only joking, but 12 months ago this site would have been awash with people saying that. I do hope this is a minor blip and that we can push on again soon and retain our playoff place. I think automatic promotion is now out of our reach, that is between the top 4 now and I can't see three of them losing enough points for us to overtake them, two maybe but not three. Still whereever we finish is a great achievement by a manager who was unknown to this league before last summer and a great springboard to the future.

Carlos has entertained us now it's time for somebody to get us promoted.

10 Mar 2016 23:31:55
There you go.
Get a grip man, Carlos has worked miracles.
We are clearly not ready for the Premiership yet, but another season gelling, we could be.
If I was told during pre season that we would be in this position right now, I would have been chuffed to bits.

11 Mar 2016 12:25:27
I am chuffed to bits.

11 Mar 2016 23:37:25
Sorry, I was a bit quick off the mark.

18 Mar 2016 10:17:29
I was playing devils advocate a bit as it's been quiet lately.
But what prompted my thoughts was a discussion I had with some Birmingham fans after our win down there.

In general they were praising us and saying we had more flair and an all round better side than them etc etc.

One older guy though said Carlos would not get us promoted, he'd entertain us but basically because we want to win with flair every game, we'd not grind out the 1 nil wins and hard fought draws like Hull, Burnley and Mboro do, and thinking about it after he may have a point.

What does anyone else think.

This is in no way meant as criticism just prompting some discussion.

02 Mar 2016 21:25:03
Antonio is working wonders in the Premiership with West Ham.
Wrong place at the wrong time for us, but you have got to take your hat of to the lad.
However, was he not managed by Dave Jones during his time at Hillsborough?
He couldn't spot talent in the Playboy Mansion.

Just checking to see if this site has received a red card.

{Ed001's Note - it is amazing how sites go quiet when there is nothing for people to moan about! It is the same across them all. People must just love to moan more than celebrate!}

You only have to hear some of the ridiculous comments in the stands to realise that many folk use football to vent their anger and frustration with life in general.
Last game I went to, the bloke next to me shouted 'who does he think he is? ', every time Nuhiu touched the ball.
So I tend to agree with your comment.

02 Mar 2016 08:22:20
You are probably right ed people do enjoy a good moan, but myself I am really pleased to see our team where they are. It gives me so much pleasure to think that come the end of the season we will be there or thereabouts, not really expecting promotion this year but we can hope. After all when was the last time we had any real hope but things are changing and will continue to change and we will get there UTO.

02 Mar 2016 11:39:42

The lads are doing great, looking good in all departments and the strikers are on fire. Preston could be a difficult game as they have been playing well over the last couple of months, but I think we have the firepower to handle them and this is the best Wednesday team I have seen for a long time. We have some difficult games on the horizon with Hull - Brighton - Derby and Forest all away so let's hope we can stay in form and collect a few points from these teams - I think we can UTO.

18 Feb 2016 23:44:00
Well said Eric.
The commeradary in the squad is fantastic to see, let alone the quality of players and fans that we have.
I do have a feeling that Preston could be a minor stumbling block, but I do predict good results against the bigger clubs.

20 Feb 2016 08:51:34
couldn't agree with you more LMN UTO.

22 Feb 2016 17:55:40
Did say on previous post as did LMN was a little worried about this game but we got a red card, still we can't complain we got one in our favour last week so swings and roundabouts still confident for next few games UTO.

22 Feb 2016 18:32:19
Very much so, plus we didn't fold and we kept the game tight.
Also, it keeps the players grounded for the tough matches ahead.

23 Feb 2016 16:59:21
just setting off for QPR game - full of confidence tonight think we will win hope so anyway but whatever happens I know we will be in the top 6 at the end of the season come on you owls, we can do this UTO.

10 Feb 2016 22:47:11

Anyone know where we stand with the FFP rules for this year? I have seen a few comments going around that we will struggle if we don't get promoted but I didn't think it was a problem for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2016 19:37:19
Were the comments made by United fans by any chance?

{Ed003's Note - Apparently yourselves,Derby and Boro will struggle being within the parameters.}

04 Feb 2016 23:49:06
Jeez, that would be just what we all don't need, as promotion is a big ask, despite how much we have undoubtedly improved.
Correct me if I am wrong Ed, or anybody else, but the less threatening solution would be to sell players to balance the books? (If it came to that)
Anyways, it's not worth worrying about too much just yet and to concentrate only on the clubs progression.

{Ed003's Note - too late for that from what I gather,If you get promoted you will face fine if you got relegated or you wouldn't be allowed into the FL if not all well,but as in the QPR case mediation would take place same as if you don't go up but an embargo would look likely for a while.}

04 Feb 2016 23:52:38
Also Ed, I couldn't help but notice the improvement in Blackpools results of late.

{Ed003's Note - Don't be fooled by a club cash wealthy still in a relegation battle, is league one survival really good after all that's happened ? a fan got sent down for 6 months last week over it all - thanks for your interest as always LMN.}

05 Feb 2016 00:35:10
TBH it seems that the guy demonstrated much more passion towards the club than Oysten has ever done.
Not saying that bursting into the the directors box wearing a gimp mask was the best move, but I can sypathize with the blokes frustration.

{Ed003's Note - he banged on a window and a couple of other minor offences and has apologised for having a stupid moment - but that is what it is coming to, it is truly sad what is happening to my community because of the Oystons (in my opinion (for legal reasons) )

05 Feb 2016 08:10:42
Some of the comments came from weeds fans but it is talk I've heard from a few Wednesday fans too. I thought we were fairly safe from it as Chansiri had sponsored the club which meant we had extra income. Also compared to Boro and Derby I didn't think we had spent that big, yes we have had a few 7 figure transfers but nothing too huge like the Rhodes transfer and surely our losses can't be that big. Also there were different interpretations of the rules, some guys saying it is the losses over 3 years and others saying its all down to this one, so confusing and the internet is no help so I couldn't make head nor tail of it. Ah well, we will see what comes in the new season.

05 Feb 2016 22:32:44
We all have those stupid moments, it's my middle name Ed, but I do truly feel you pain.
Us Owls have been through the mill throughout many years, courtesy of Dave Allan.
Unfortunately for the Pool, Oysten seems to be a complete clunge who does not even slightly care about your club.
Chin up pal.

{Ed003's Note - Cheers L.}
