Who says he can do better? The takeover hasn't yet happened so SG will be working with a very tight budget.

You have never heard of him but SG could do better. Tell me how you can make that judgement, do you have a crystal ball or can you see into the future, if you have either what are this weeks winning lottery numbers. I remember a few years ago player coming on trial that nobody had ever heard of but the trial was cancelled, tricky Trev wanted to see him play. Eric Cantona took the huff and went to Leeds. Could this guy be the next Cantona.
4.) He's young and played a full season albeit in the French top flight in a struggling team and has obviously impressed SG so why not give him a go? Oh an I'd heard about CR and Vieira before ;)
5.) Make you right Deswaddle, if this deal falls through then that will be egg on Milans face. How would he live that one up in front of the fans?? Looks like he is putting he's reputation on the line for this takeover.

I don't trust MM as far as I can throw him. Portsmouth fans i'm sure loved him at one time. MM wants to wash his hands of us, He's finally sick and tired of all the money being lost, That he's willing to flog us anyone who has the money. MM will walk away with 40 million without taking a backward glance. And as for mammadov, we should be very worried.
1.) Maybe they are all aliens. Who will first infiltrate our club then drain our minds! and before we know it it will be attack of the body snatchers. Or we could be over run by vampires who will kill us all. Ahhh trust no one stay locked in your houses people!
2.) Cheltowl - You've really got me worried now, I couldn't see anything to worry about till you joined in!
3.) I'm fairly certain MM isn't walking away and will be chairman at least for the first year. The Portsmouth situation really stung MM, he hated that a club he had built up was taken to pieces and destroyed so dramatically and that is why he has been so careful with his dealings not just with us but Leicester too. Also why look at the negatives of his previous clubs and look at Leicester, he sold them on to another owner and they are now back in the premiership. I do agree with hOWLer though you have me worried cheltowl. Maybe the aliens have already got to people like you me and hOWLer and making us too optomistic and positive about the takeover to draw the others in :)

MM has not seen a penny from Mammadov. Not from the shirt sponsorship or the 40 million he apparently paid for us. Fc Lens have not been promoted because Mammadov is flat broke, And so are we. Nothing new then. FLIPPIN JOKE.

Why are all the new signings like Kirkland & Loovens, Only signing one year contacts. Hutchinson only signed up for two. We need a settled squad, What we don't need is players haggling for more money every year.
1.) If we are hoping to make rapid progress, which according to Mamma we are, why would you want players on long contracts at this stage?
Hopefully, if that progress is made, these players won't be good enough for next season, so we'll be looking to replace them with different and better players!
The time to offer long contracts is when we are back in Prem and we are signing TOP quality players. bring it on!

Driving past hillsborough today, The stadium really needs some work. I hope Mammadov looks at the plans from 2009, For the 2018 world cup that we never got. The stadium looked sweet.
1.) Then you must have notice the old scoreboard has gone!

Yeah OK, I know we are all getting a bit bored of waiting for confirmation. But please stop making BS stories up. Mammadov owns three football clubs now, He does not sound like a man on the verge of bankruptcy.
