Reverand & the makers singer put on twitter earlier he had heard that the takeover was off,he's pretty close to the club so may have inside info

Still think there have been a lot of positive signs in the last month, i. e. new sponsor and some decent free signings that we wouldn't have got last year that point towards the takeover happening but its just taking a while. Can't find anything negative on the internet apart from the tweet you mention and even then I had to search quite a bit to find that.

Johnny McClure, my brother played football with him when they were 13 at cross pool juniors, however not to doubt his integrity but I don't think being in a band and a fan and however close he may be to the club would entitle him to early news like that, just my opinion

I said about two weeks ago that I was twitchy about the takeover. I've no hard info but everything we hear about HM just serves to make me more nervous about a possible collapse of the deal.

Been hearing all day that the takeover is now off. If this is true then my concerns have become a reality and Revowl was right all along.

How does anyone know Reverend is close to people at the club? Just because he's a famous fan doesn't mean he is privy to MM, PA and HM conversations. Donna got their takeover knocked back by the FL panel, and straight away they released the news that it was off. None of this "I've heard it's off" balls. We have the new sponsor which I reckon is a better indicator about the takeover than countless twitter/Facebook rumours. Patience is needed, other clubs waited 10/12 weeks for FL clearance. It's not ideal for getting new players in but we just have to sit tight.

If the take over was to collapse, I think it would have by now.
Surely the ratification (i always want to sing Rat In Mi Kitchen, UB40) is now very close to completion, having taken about 6 weeks already.
Remember the saying "no news is good news", so let's stay focused on the good times ahead.
I never understood why people are pessimistic before the season starts, its not like we can't compete in this league, as there are much weaker teams with lower budgets, less able players etc.
Even if the rat in mi kitchen doesn't go ahead, we have a capable side and SG to guide us to AT LEAST mid table.

Lets get some perspective here, the contracts were signed and EXCHANGED this much is confirmed.

The only way that this will not go through now is if the FL do not ratify it, its that simple.
