You not drunk TYM - but the journalist who wrote story might have been !
I'm going to believe it anyway for now because I like the sound of it

I saw something else this morning that says Rhodes will be going on loan to Derby if Blackburn get knocked out of the FA cup by Liverpool today.

I've got to admit it does sound good I can't remember the last time we was linked with a player over a million lol

Surely there are better strikers for £12million?
I would be over the moon if we spent £1.2million on a player.

Lmn who would you go for?.

6.) 08 Mar 2015
I am one of the fans old enough to remember the complete and utter mess a certain Mr Richards made of our beloved club by gambling our future on signings we ultimately couldn't afford. So let's build slowly but surely and forget putting all our eggs in one £12m basket. £5m to £6m would buy us the 2 wingers we need and secure McGuigan as a creative midfielder. I for one still believe May can fire us up the championship if we can create clear cut chances for him

Not sure milan. How much is Wickham worth these days? Lol
I agree with nday though, securing McGugan is a must, but still not sold on May.
I was also impressed with Drenthe, but his end product wasn't 100%. Much better than Maghoma.

Been watching premiership matches Wickham looks out of hid depth if we are going for premiership next season why spend £12 k on someone who can't hack it with big boys could Rhodes no big clubs come for him

Surely it can't be true £12m yes he has consistently scored in the Championship but surely NO

More reports I am seeing today saying Norwich and Notts Forest as well as Derby are interested in loaning Rhodes. Report on Notts Forest's interest gives an 8M price tag. I think Wickham would be worth a shot. For some reason he seems to be being played in a wider role with Sunderland this season which is not his best place. When he played for us it showed how good he was playing down the centre.

We can all relax about the Rhodes situation because if there is any truth in our interest, Rhodes still has 3-4yrs left on his contract so he will decide which club he wants to go to.
It's then down to Blackburn to try to do a deal with that club if they want to move him out.
I doubt whether we will be doing any £12m for any single player deals because we need a "few" decent players - and we still have to comply with the FFP Rules despite having a new owner who appears ready to spend.

Middlesborough and Notts Forest have both cooled there interest in Rhodes. I'm guessing Blackburn will be waiting to see how their replay goes before deciding if they want to loan him out. One thing a mate pointed out to me the other day is that Blackburn are quite far in debt and are looking to sell players in the summer so he may be available a bit cheaper than the £12M that has been quoted

Yeah sure we just need to make even MORE chances for stevie may

that useless turd has missed more one-on-ones and open goals than the rest of the team put together and that includes Nuhiu and his weeekly 2yd header miss.

The problem is, all may does is get these chances and miss them or occasionally score them. he rarely dribbles or passes in a constructive manner, he can't hold the ball up and he often makes poor decisions. I hope he can turn it around but ultimately I don't think he's at the pace of the championship right now and certainly not capable of leading the line for a credible title challenge team.
