Like most football fans before a new season I am optimistic and happy to get behind the club with fresh hopes and dreams. I am however worried that we have made too many overseas signings / gambles. Below are 12 players (all positions) with proven Premiership or Championship experience who have moved to Championship clubs in the current transfer window. Asking all owls fans would they have been better signings?
Scott Carson
Jack Hunt (ok)
Luke Garbutt
Sol Bamba
Matt Mills
Ross Wallace (ok)
Josh McEachran
Lewis McGuigan (ok)
Ben Pringle
Andreas Weimann
Jermaine Beckford
Will Keane (sub)

Id say us buying a quarter of the players listed is quite a good ratio, wouldn't you?

Doesn't look anything like a 20 goal a season man to me #RANKAVERAGE

1.) Who are you talking about sorry you mentioned dates and teams and goals no name or am I blind lol :) uto xxx

2.) Nday - is this the new - "guess who the **** I'm talking about" - quiz?
I have another question for you n others who are getting hung up on numbers - if Cox or any other striker gets 19 goals every year does that mean he's not a 20goal a season man?
Ings & Vokes weren't 20 goal a season men till they were brought together for Burnley last year were they?
The manager, team, system, and a bit of good luck on occasions, gave them the opportunity to show what they could do.
I bet neither will be 20goal men this season?
The point I'm making is let's judge players at the end of the season not before they even get close to perhaps signing for us.

3.) Whoever it is he must have been shattered at the end of 2012

4.) Think its Simon cox.

i doubt Rangers could afford £1m. Given their finances. We haven't seen best of May because we didn't play to his strengths. He feeds of clever little through balls and low balls across 6 yard box not long balls and flicks. Plus last season we asked the strikers to do too much defending and expected them to still be sharp when the chances came. I believe May can score goals in the championship as he did in Scotland. The standard is higher but the goals are the same size and they don't move

I am one of the fans old enough to remember the complete and utter mess a certain Mr Richards made of our beloved club by gambling our future on signings we ultimately couldn't afford. So let's build slowly but surely and forget putting all our eggs in one £12m basket. £5m to £6m would buy us the 2 wingers we need and secure McGuigan as a creative midfielder. I for one still believe May can fire us up the championship if we can create clear cut chances for him

For those who continually criticise MM for lacking ambition consider this. He has pumped c. £30m of HIS OWN MONEY into OUR club. He has a family and other business interests to support. He does it for business, not for love (this is not a criticism). He saved us from administration FACT. We are in much better place than when he took over off and on the pitch FACT. He needs and deserves to turn a profit when he sells the club on. Good luck to him. If the takeover is confirmed next week and the new guy is the right guy then MM fulfilled his commitment. WAWAW
