How interested would we be on Nick Powell, apparently in talks with Blackburn. Wouldn't be a bad addition for free.

Also Rhodes is apparently for sale. It would be an expensive signing but Hooper, Forestieri and Rhodes would be unmatched in the league.

Out of the loaned players Pudil, Lopez and Hunt should be targets but the others either didn't play or impress enough. Players like Melo and McGugan who aren't first choice should maybe go. Sorry to say but Nuhiu isn't good enough in my opinion. Wallace, whilst I like him, only had a year contract - I think ad Carlos might want a younger option.
WE need at least 1 CB, 2 midfield and a CF.

Hunt has already been signed perminant back in January. Fingers crossed pudil will sign be nice to keep him build around the solid squad from last season. Keep Wallace for experience but sign both LM and RM so bannan can stay centre new LM fighting foristieri or matias so we can put foristieri CF The new RM I wouldn't keep sougou in al honesty so a younger RM to learn from Wallace. Nuhiu got a new 3 year contract so he'll be an asset still creating space for fessi and hooper I recon we need a fast striker too play some through balls from space created hooper lacked pace against hull while they had Diame ripping us apart. So definitely a Pacey striker. Joao needs some nurturing maybe a loan out? New CB and another sting CM all TALL players too we abit on the short front in midfield. Another reason hull was stronger I recon.

So I think we are fine for stokers and just need to adapt quicker to a new tactic in a game unlike against hull where we didn't turn their defence. Joao could have but didn't get long enough or the right type of ball through.

IMO we need a young CB and keep Sasso
Sign Pudil and the kid from villa
We need two wingers/ wide midfield for options - mcgeady didn't work.
We also need a back up to bannans creativity and passing as I think it's clear when he's not there we miss him. I don't think Lopez is the answer but I would sign him as I don't feel we saw the best of him yet.

For me, we need to find the best pairing for Keiron Lee in the centre of the park, as he was fantastic all season long.
We need a few fast wingers and as mentioned a young centre half, but he has to be good enough to replace Loovens.
However, I am certain that Carlos will have his plans in order, especially considering the quality he brought in last season.

Think we need a strong fast no nonsense type CB, loovens as squad player, tall strong CM as competition, hull bossed us in the air in midfield, LB permanent either pudil or someone maybe fitter, always seems nakered haha, fast CF with j out on loan to lower champ team.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the papers at the moment. They don't have much to report about signings right now as nothing much is going on as we get to the business end of the season so they have to make do with what little information they get which is usually incorrect.

If we were to get to playoffs and get promotion, who is good enough for premier?

Would we be happy up front, forestieri and hooper look pretty awesome currently, but both have only warmed the bench in the Prem.

Thing about this above comment as soon as someone can reflect and chose things like this they don't remember a player for the season what he does for team they remember any mistakes casting more doubt on the player. I for one believe Wallace would more than manage in the premiership as would most of our players. At one but Joao was attracting apparent interest from Everton but his for drops and no longer. A player can't just have it one min and lose it the next you have to see them as a whole. Wallace brings promotion experience calm head etc to the team so his valuable advice is more than enough to keep him in your squad regardless of what division. this team is he best team I've seen for a long time I don't believe any player deserves any criticism because they've all been ace and to me they can hack it. For 10 min here and there for bench warming for their experiences for their callings influences I could go on but this collective team all plays their part which a team like this would be vital in premiership. UTO.

Never got a run in the team, he was one of those bought in a rush on deadline day last year when we suddenly had money. He was starting to look good but then got injured and fell a long way down the pecking order with our summer recruits overtaking him. Good luck to him at his new club.

Apparently we could have and were willing to match what Boro are paying but we were looking for a summer move rather than in this window. We would need to clear out some of our strikers before signing Rhodes, its one area we have a surplus of players and that will be easier in the summer. Ah well, other targets out there and with Hooper and Forestieri, and Joao and Nuhiu as alternate options we don't have a terrible strike force anyway.

Was about to post this too. Good news I think, he is starting to show some form and get in the goals, if him and Forestieri keep scoring as they are this season will end with us comfortably in the play-offs and maybe better. In other news I have heard that the Rhodes enquiry was just that, an enquiry. Middlesborough were the other club who expressed their interest again after trying to sign him in the summer and we were just checking what we would need to bid if he became available. If he does come I would have thought he would be a summer signing rather than in this window.

Maybe Blackburn bringing in Graham would indicate that Rhodes is on the move, I just doubt that it will be to us.
Now that Hooper is match fit he is looking like a good out and out goal scorer.

I think many fans, though recognising Rhodes ability to score goals, are realistic. If we did attempt to sign a £12 million player on say 40k per week where would that leave us re FFP? Unless we got promoted we might well end up being scuppered in the transfer market next year.

With FFP I believe your income is what can spend or whatever. No amoun has been disclosed on the amount DC sponsored shirts for. There's a little loophole he's used by doing that. Also he can always sponsors training ground for X amount I believe. Atm he's got areas to work around it but he needs fans backing. This is what I'm told anyway and it seems perfectly understandable.
