First of all sorry Oliver (yesterday) for doubting your rumour looks like Antonio is leaving. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement, some people may say it's a good deal, sorry I don't think so. We were expecting with this so called takeover investment and a season to look forward to. Instead we have to sell to buy players, 2 things if this transfer goes through, Mr Gray spend the money wisely and bring in 2-3 players and lastly a big thank you to MM who in my eyes has turned this takeover into a right fiasco and he is solely to blame for bringing wild hopes of investment to Wednesday fans.

liveinhopeowl

1.) Patience - 9months, 46 lge matches, 138pts, and hopefully a good few cup matches to go!
Not even kicked a competitive ball yet.
Can't say I'm not surprised to see Antonio go at this time, BUT - if SG doesn't see him as part of the long term plan and there's a possibility of losing a key signing if we don't act NOW, then it makes good sense doesn't it?
For example if the money was used to get the striker that knocks 20-30 goals in this season, or he went to make way for Ben Marshall to play out wide, would there be too many complaints from any of us?
The time to be critical, if its justified, is at the end of the season, not before its even started

2.) Worst thing that could happen is that Antonio fails his medical!

Well said liveinhopeowl. It's about time the fans brown nosing stopped and a few home truths were told. A certain Revowl warned us of this fiasco ages ago on here and everyone jumped on his back including Ed. This all things just a mess that will end in disappointment anyway so let's move on. MM needs to stop the feel good stuff and serious investors need to be found ASAP before we end up in a worse mess than when MM took over.

4.) I assue that liveinhopeowl and Strad have never bought houses. Buying them can drag on for months and the paperwork for that is quite simple. Buying a football club is hundreds of times harder with reams of paperwork that will need to go back and forth between at least 3 parties and possibly more so takes a while. The only reason it seems to be dragging on is that the announcement of the takeover was made to early as the French press was about to leak it. I think a lot of people on here assume that all you need to do to buy a football club is to walk up to the current owner, give them money and that is it, when in reality it takes a lot of time and paperwork. MM doesn't want to spend any more money, HM doesn't want to spend money as technically the club isn't his just yet so to get any new players which is what we need we will have to sell. Antonio was a good player for the club but hasn't really developed in the last season, if we can get a couple of million which funds some extra players then that is fine by me.

5.) Nothing to do with sg not wanting Antonio in is plans, nothing to do with sg, he piks a squad out of what he's got, the owners of clubs now days buy and sell, look at forrests s Pearce, he's even done an interview on ow disgusted he is on sale of his players, and he ant even been in charge of a league match, sorry to say but my post weeks ago is the same, we will not spend 500. 000 this season

First of all I would like to reply to SWFC13 yesterday who apparently thinks I have never bought a house. SWFC13 in the last 20 years I have sold 7 houses so I know it takes between 10-12 weeks usually, it all depends on the chain, there is no chain at Wednesday and I will say to you HAVE YOU EVER BOUGHT A FOOTBALL CLUB - probably not (just gassing I take it) I have been supporting Wednesday for fifty years so no young kid.
As for the take over the general consensus of opinion on the sites and other people is that this deal is dead and buried, something I didn't want. And as far as I am concerned it's still MM's fault if this deal falls through, if you want to buy a house (and I have experience) you have to prove you have the mortgage in place, I don't think this guy has anything in place (money)and that if that is the case that it is MM's fault. This take over has dragged on and it doesn't feel right me! And lastly if Gray doesn't kick MM and get some funds and players he doesn't deserve to be in charge, Gray needs to get some bottle. And for the people who say in 'MM we trust' get real 15.30

liveinhopeowl

1.) Its surprising that a 50 year old feels the need to justify himself, on here, with his life story.
many people believe in mm and they are entitled to their own opinion.

2.) Sorry for making an assumption that you hadn't bought a house, it seemed by your lack of patience that you hadn't. However by saying it takes 10-12 weeks you seem to have validated my point. As you are correct I have neither bought or sold a football club, but I assume that a business as complex as a football club will take a lot more paperwork and time to buy than a house even without a chain. I bought a house with no chain and that took nearly 4 months just because of one glitch in the paperwork. The paperwork for a house has to go between two parties with a solicitor each inbetween yet the majority of the paperwork for a football club has to go between at least three parties with teams of lawyers inbetween. If HM didn't have any money in place why have we not found this out already. What has MM to gain by dragging this out, I doubt he would do something like this just to gain a few extra pounds from ticket sales. I think people are losing patience as it seems to have gone on a lot longer than other takeovers, but most takeovers are announced to the press a lot later in the process. If the French press hadn't tried to leak the story to further try and disgrace HM then we would probably be only finding out about this now, although then we would have had lots of people on here annoyed that we had made no signings. Also if the takeover has failed then why did HM sponsor us in what was reported to be a very financially significant deal for the club. Makes no sense to me to pump money into a club for no return apart from maybe a few extra tourists to your country a year. If I am wrong about the takeover I am man enough to say so if the time comes but for now I have seen more positives than negatives about it so will stick with my optomistic approach that it will happen but will be a little longer coming, and if that makes me an over optomistic dreamer in some peoples eyes I don't really care.

3.) Im sure that some of our supporters are a cross between victor meldrew and unlucky alf off the fast show. "Oh bugger"!

Heard we are signing the Southampton FC's tea lady on a free

liveinhopeowl

1.) Missed out due to waiting for the takeover.
She's gone to QPR in a swap for De'Longhi Coffee Maker!

2.) Not good enough. Prefer yorkshire tea myself.

3.) We've also signed Dyson as a sweeper, and Webb as Capt and striker, and he's available for next match!

Andy the fans you talk about are concerned about his age because this is a very physical league, and the players you mentioned were used to it, he would too long time to adjust, I for one think he is too old. Trouble is Wed fans want to see signings and some are desperate to have anybody. I'm not I wanted to see quality new signings. As for this new owner as they say they is no smoke without fire, I worry

Chaz with you on both your posts above and below, Best is not good enough, and the Brazilian is past his sell by date and never played in this physical league, I am beginning to think SG has no ideas on the striker front, we have just been bought by a so called wealthy man who wants premiership football, is it another year of frees and surviving because that is the way I feel its going to go at the moment.

New season around the corner, and we are still penny pinching for the frees we need some quality signings in the areas fans have been shouting for, for many moons, how much longer. I wasn't expecting a war chest but it seems like the biscuit barrel is what we are getting at the moment. I hope like the other fans that there will be some good signings soon. As for this striker, come on, terrible record
