We've beaten Rotherham to Stevie May thank the heavens. Post on beeb site says he's having a medical at Hillsborough tomorrow! Finally a potential 20+ goal a season man. !

United have lost, Stevie May has signed, Wednesdays won. good first weekend of the season in my opinion.

Shirt Sponsor sorted: Azerbaijan Land of Fire' logo. Same logo as on A. Madrid and Lens. For me that's an absolute bonus to be associated with the Spanish Champions! Also says on the SWFC site ' financial significant'

1.) Says that the sponsorship is well into 6 figures TBH I would have thought it would have been more - I know they are in a different league (literally) to us at the moment but the sponsorship of Athletico was €12m over 18 months

Dejan Kelhar will miss the rest of the season after a cruciate ligament injury. real bummer for this guy. probably won't ever play for us now.

He has an employment contract with us for 6months!
What if he'd got injured in his first tackle on his debut, is that any different to how it did happen, training for that debut.
He may get paid "less" when he's not playing than he would if he were playing, but that's only if those are the terms of his contract.
I'm gutted for him and for us because he looked a class act!

FC lens promotion is still blocked after their appeal was rejected. They'll be playing in FL2 again next year. I really hope Mammadov is for real.
1.) After reading this part of the story I am starting to have some concerns regarding the ratification from the FL.DNCG have now rejected Lens’ protests with the missing funds having still not arrived in the clubs account. I think if this is not sorted soon the FL will take a dim view on this,and could be why it hasn't happened as quick as mm would like. up the massive!
2.) If you look on the French football league page, it says one of the reasons RC Lens will not be promoted is their ground is not up to league 1 standards.
3.) Mammadov is not broke, he is a rich man. Mertel is not very good and tried to be smart with Mammadov and French FA. It has backfired big style. The ground problem is the biggest issue and this needs to be addressed.
Actually think problems in France are god news for Wedneday. He had proisedthem a budget of 48 million Euros for season, of which 38 million has been lodged with club. The French FA want evidence of all budget up front before season starts which it appears Mammadov was not aware of. Personally think this is excuse by French FA as they do not want a team who do not have their own ground.
If he will not be spending money with them he can spend it on Wednesday.

SG says a striker could be confirmed Monday / Tuesday.
What part of 'undisclosed fee' do most of the people on here not understand. Tom Lee signed for us after we agreed a fee, what that fee is hasn't been 'disclosed'. If it was a free transfer they say 'signed on a free'. I wish people would stop always trying to have a pop at Wednesday. We have money, and hopefully more is coming.
I genuinely think Caolan L can be a 20 goal a year forward
