apparently we are on the verge of signing tom lees from leeds, should be confirmed tommorow

dunc726

1.) 30 Jul 2014 21:31:55
Wouldn't be a bad signing but I can't see it happening unless he's available for free.

2.) 30 Jul 2014 22:21:43
According to the blah it a done deal, he'll sign a 3 year deal tomorrow, no fee involved, as the Leeds 'manager' doesn't want him

3.) 31 Jul 2014 09:04:43
Roy Contout from the French club Sochaux I hear is another triallist.

4.) 31 Jul 2014 09:28:43
Then if he's for free then yes we'll sign him I suppose.

5.) 31 Jul 2014 10:17:34
Padding out the squad. We need numbers whether they're free or not, hopefully sign someone good on loan soon like Wilson from Man.U. or Chris Wood.

6.) It reads on ssn that it's an undisclosed fee. What could this mean!!

7.) This could be the signing of the season the lad is still young and got thrown straight in at the deep end at leeds with a lot of poor players around him he had so much potential a couple of seasons ago so good move, well done SG

8.) 31 Jul 2014 16:55:28
Signed for undisclosed fee

9.) 31 Jul 2014 17:05:22
Squad number just released and we don't have a number 11. ? who do you think we will sign to be our number 11?

10.) I don't wanna right this Roy Contout off before we see him but 19 goals in over 200 games doesn't sound like much of a striker Reda scored more from Defence.

11.) You're absolutely write

12.) 31 Jul 2014 19:36:01
maybe he wasn't getting the write service from his team-mates!

13.) Really don't know why we let Reda go.

14.) 01 Aug 2014 08:00:58
We let him and seven other out field players go nearly three months ago so, that we could replace them with a far better squad of players, Can you not see how well the plan has worked so far. Don't worry be happy.

15.) 01 Aug 2014 09:11:15
The plan has worked so far. The players we have brought in are of a higher standard. It takes time for these things to come together.

16.) 01 Aug 2014 11:25:12
We have until next May we will then know if its worked. Just one final point, apart from the eight outfield players, we are also minus the three premiership strikers who kept us up. As you say its worked so far.

17.) Maybe, just maybe contout is not a striker.

18.) 01 Aug 2014 13:16:24
Yes it has worked so far. We played some great football without those 'three' premiership strikers. Not sure who the third premiership striker is you are talking bout, but anyway. Like I said, these things take time. Our first eleven is looking pretty good. It is just a case of not panic buying and bringing in the quality players. If that takes a bit of time then we have to be patient.

19.) South owl. when are you going to deliver your much anticipated lecture on "the dynamics of asbechistan"?

20.) 01 Aug 2014 17:57:47
Would you be more interested in the political, business and banking dynamics of Azebaijan.
Specifically regarding the nepotism that is rife within the country, therefore calling into doubt the ability of any business to trade on merit. and the consequences. I think you can make your own mind up.
Just as long as you have your opinion, so let's hear it Brighton Owl.

21.) Just done some research and Roy Conout is a Right Winger or Secondry Striker so that might be why he hasn't scored too many goals.

22.) Thats quite an intelligent and informed summary, South Owl
If that is "all your own work" why would you make a statement like "the plan has not worked so far" when we're still over a week away from our first match?
You also continue to absolutely deny any appreciation of the situation that obtains with our club regarding the takeover?
Surely someone with such a grasp on the economy of Azerbaijan, must be able to recognise that our squad situation will improve rapidly in terms of both numbers and quality once the deal is rubber stamped.
Just to clarify the players who were released were all released because there contracts were at an end.
If they were not seen as part of our future it would be unfair to them and their families not to allow them to try to secure a future for themselves - that's how football works!
Such an informed person must appreciate that also?

23.) How can we discuss the contiguous transcontinental republic of Azerbaijan and not mention nagorno-karabakh south owl?. what would you like my opinion on?can do geo-politics if you like but don't want to interrupt your flow of draining pessimism.

24.) 01 Aug 2014 22:21:35
Howler
don't defend him, tell me what date I said the plan had not worked. let's just get this straight.
I believe the guy has cash flow problems. I also believe the problems and developments in the Ukraine is causing difficulties in all the Caucus region, which is a fledgling region after soviet dominance which is heavily involved with oil,the production of oil, and the price of oil. These nations have had a banking system for twenty years, intertwined with politics, and hand outs, dependant on black stuff in the ground, we as a football club are being taken over by people who had nothing twenty years ago. This in my opinion is the chief reason the delay has occurred. When will people understand Mammodov is a product of the soviet state, and a stroke of luck combined with nepotism. As much as I respect the chairman he wants out, and wants out with a massive profit.

25.) Like a said before funny how leyton orient already taken over and made now the fith and in my eyes decent singing, jay simpson now darius henderson for league 1

26.) After reading some newspaper reporters about the takeover this week it definitely not going to happen the mans gone bankrupt so another season of loan players. when the takeover was first mentioned it was round the time of season tickets going on sale just like last season when promise of better players would be brought in and that didn't happen as well good luck sg do the best with what you got

27.) South Owl
In answer to your question, you sarcastically referred to "the plan working" yesterday!
The same day you spoke of the "3rd Prem striker keeping us up", and a couple of days after your comment about FL rejection because of "source and sufficiency of funds"!
Your comments re HM:
Although we don't know for sure, because we haven't been told, its reasonable to suspect that HM has cash flow problems.
But that is to be expected from anybody when trying to put together £40million in cash in a short period of time. Many household name businesses would have the same problem.
Cash flow has nothing to do with viability, it is about being able to present your assets on demand.
Incidentally Chelsea and Monaco's owners are "products of the Soviet State" and those two clubs are doing reasonably OK I suggest? There are others too.
On to your factual statement:
Very astute of you to recognise that MM wants out - given that he's said so himself on many occasions over past 18months, and he has never made any secret of that.
When he sells he naturally wants a big profit on the deal! what's wrong with that? He's a businessman not a charity!
I'll end by saying that I'm honestly not having a go, I just think statements should be based on facts - even if its only the facts as we know them today.

28.) Dunc
If you do the research on Orient, Barry Hearn and Francesco Becchetti the new owner, had been in discussions and putting the Orient takeover together for weeks & weeks before it finally went through with the FL.
I took a lot longer than ours has been public knowledge at least, it didn't just happen overnight.

29.) South owl, it's azeRbaijan. thought you would appreciate a little help on your learning journey. Your revelation that mandaric wants to sell, and for a profit shows shattering insight.

30.) 02 Aug 2014 13:03:38
Bgh, which newspapers? I haven't seen anything online about HM for a week! If you are going to make stuff up tell us your sources

31.) Dunc. which other singers do you like?im a big elvis fan myself

32.) 02 Aug 2014 14:40:10
Howler.
Please can you read the post and quote what I write.
Wickham,Best&Fryatt saved our season Fact. We cannot afford their wages, we cannot afford their fee, another Fact
Cash flow is deadly serious without it the business will collapse Fact. It might just be the reason regarding a Source&sufficency test not being met, or has it! who knows
Very astute of you to realise I commented on MM, it alerted Brighton yowl to the fact also, is he related by any chance. You seem to be working together well. No hard feelings , I realise you are not having a pop, but some things need to be sad if they are facts.
The plan is working ask Stuart Gray.

33.) No I was "alerted" by reading your post south owl. but you're right, some things do need to be sad.

34.) Hi Brighton yowl.
Whats your favourite Elvis song
Suspicious Minds, or maybe
Azerbaijan Trilogy.

35.) South Owl
Read your posts till I'm dizzy!
Perhaps you might repay me by doing the same?
Totally agree that cash flow is very serious and it kills businesses, but its not the same as "being skint" as you are repeatedly trying to suggest HM is.
The only person that's ever mentioned "source and sufficiency" is you, not seen it raised by anybody, anywhere else.
And I'm sorry I didn't realise that Best's parent club - Blackburn - are in the Prem. Lge?
I must try and keep up otherwise I'll make myself look foolish.

36.) No need as South is doing a great job all on his own.

37.) Howler
Read my post properly then you can best understand.
Just as a gentle reminder, Best as you are well aware is on Premiership money, ask me why, because his contract was drawn up as a premiership player in the premiership league, so stop being silly, if the team are relegated can you blame him entirely, no. We cannot afford him, weekly wages, or fee. But we like him playing for us, yes. Same with Wickham, and Fryatt always on the cheap to save our buts. Due to under funding from people in it for a massive return, just say what you see. People gave away their shares for nothing for what, to facilitate the deal to save the Owls. Yes they had worth, and that worth was to save this great club, so the custodian should build year on year, without faffing about, with or without buy out. Not hanging around loaning players to maximise the profit whilst punting for a buyer. I don't blame MM but for Gods sake stop pretending
Don't you just like it when people act out of character to make a point. As for LMN well I rest my case. Also have a word with your other mate Brighton yowl, his spelling is terrible, but to his credit he is an Elvis fan. I bet you don't know his favourite Elvis track. Have a guess.

38.) South Owl
I've read all your posts yet again.
I think I'm beginning to understand now?
Just to be clear, although I know the voices will tell you different, I have no idea who any other posters are on here.
I just "say what I see" and presumably there are others on here who see it like me - there are some strange people about you know South Owl!

39.) Howler
How very true you are strange people around alright, have you been round Meadow Hall lately.
If I were you I should get the voices thing sorted out before the new season arrives.
I now understand and believe you don't have your relatives on site, pity Brighton Yowl is such a nice lad.
Just a couple more things for your scrap book.
I never came close to saying Mammadov is skint, I have implied that a cash flow situation exists within the company. For reasons best known to himself, the company borrowed big a 16%, part of that repayment has not been met, for whatever reasons. Fitch downgraded the company this year, this is all in the public domain

40.) Are you an avant-garde performance artist?

41.) If you are trying to get me involved with an Elvis look a like competition the answer is no.

{Ed003's Note - Ah hah.}
