I hope so Lomas, Pudil would be worth signing on a permanent basis.
One benefit of tying these players down is that it creates more places for any other loan players we might want to take on and have a look at.

Yep I agree mate at beginning of he season I was sceptical regarding loans I always thought if they do well they will be hard to sign my example at time was Neil mellor but after seeing Wednesday's money and intent I feel he loans have been a smart move on owls behalf. It makes a change to offer serious money. I didn't expect this at first but wow I was wrong. Finally good loanees can be snapped up woooo UTO.

According to one report from Brentford supporting paper, Beespotted, our offer was seen as derisory being around £1 million whereas their valuation is a rather steep £6 million. It is reported that Wednesday were offering to triple his wages. Burnley are also thought to be interested in signing Judge.

Thing is CC has said himself he pushed mcgugan to come but then not playing him we all know the quality he brings it would be a shame for him to leave I'd hate him playing against us too. I'd have him over Lopez hands down. Plus with him only signing this year I it would be tricky to sell so I'm starting to think have Wednesday now got more money than sense lol.

Would definitely take Judge, that would be a great signing.
Lopez and McGugan are both central, as is Bannan who has generally been playing out wide, now Foristieri is playing there, so I personally believe that we need a winger or 2.
Either way, what an admirable improvement this season.

Season long loans are totally different to short term loans IMO and a great way to see if a player does the job you want him to do before committing to having him on the books for 2-3 yrs or more.
Its what you would want to do if it were your money - try before you buy?

Don't mind loans too much, they don't take up much cash. I think one thing a lot of people are forgetting is that we have a finite amount of money to spend due to fair play rules, even with Chansiri being able to add extra money through sponsorship it is not a bottomless pit. By getting the backup players we needed for the defence fairly cheaply we have saved the majority of the money for the midfield and attacking players we need.

The problem with loan players is that if they do really well, then you are not guaranteed to get them as their value increases and the price is bumped up (as with Antonio)or other clubs come in and bid for them. I suppose the way to go is to agree a price pending a permanent transfer.

That's basically the reason I hate loans lol look when Neil mellor did so well for us then Preston relegated we couldn't buy him. We missed the 20 goals. I did jump in too quick when writing at first I now have realised as what others are saying we probably loaning a few to get some depth then spending money on decent perminant. Well we hope haha. Good times coming I recon I've just posted above away short released on Monday I'll put my house as a bet that we get a big name player wearing it as a nice little surprise. I've heard the name Rhodes about again (I doubt this) but it could be a half decent signal of intent wearing our away strip.

Got a new crest for next season not sure what to think of it.

I like the current crest more now it's in a shield with the date on, but as I'm quite old I do like the tradition of the older crest, not 100% convinced that the new one is going to be a hit tho? I think the blue could have been darker / stronger.
Relations and friends around the 30's mark definitely prefer the current crest.
We'll see I guess; depending how successful we are the more it'll grow on folk.
I hope it gets world wide renown! lol.

Right so Middlesbrough have now made a bid for McCormack which we had 10mil rejected for. So on that is it higher than 10mil. If so they surely cannot afford both him and Rhodes that's if they where the 2nd club in for him. And does this mean Wednesday's bid for Rhodes is accepted so middlesborough looking elsewhere. Or was it again the Rhodes saga as LMN suggested on earlier posts. And it hasn't and never was gunna happen?

Maybe they are just looking at age. Pudil is 30 and not getting any younger and Bennett is 25. And with only Hunt and Palmer at right back gives them a little more depth. And Wiggins may be a little injury prone so just insurance for the playoff push. They'll have options to keep guys fresh later on. Just a guess though.

Omg didn't really look at your 12mil comment regarding Rhodes but according to tv Blackburn have approached Tottenham over loaning a striker forgot his name which is casting uncertainty on Rhodes with 2 championship clubs approaching them and one is believed to be US! And Blackburn wanting 12mil+ so your right there matey. that's is the furthest I've ever heard a rumour so close to being true regarding Rhodes. So who knows. Hope we sign hooper still though.

Southampton got Austin for only 4M as his contract is up this summer and QPR took what they could get rather than loose him for a free. They could ask for more in the summer as there was a chance if they had a good start he would have signed a new contract with them but they have started badly so they took what they could get. As for the Rhodes/ Hooper thing, I think that we may have enquired about Rhodes more as a summer deal rather than now, Hooper is looking odds on to sign for us before the end of this window.

Hunt has already been signed perminant back in January. Fingers crossed pudil will sign be nice to keep him build around the solid squad from last season. Keep Wallace for experience but sign both LM and RM so bannan can stay centre new LM fighting foristieri or matias so we can put foristieri CF The new RM I wouldn't keep sougou in al honesty so a younger RM to learn from Wallace. Nuhiu got a new 3 year contract so he'll be an asset still creating space for fessi and hooper I recon we need a fast striker too play some through balls from space created hooper lacked pace against hull while they had Diame ripping us apart. So definitely a Pacey striker. Joao needs some nurturing maybe a loan out? New CB and another sting CM all TALL players too we abit on the short front in midfield. Another reason hull was stronger I recon.

Thing about this above comment as soon as someone can reflect and chose things like this they don't remember a player for the season what he does for team they remember any mistakes casting more doubt on the player. I for one believe Wallace would more than manage in the premiership as would most of our players. At one but Joao was attracting apparent interest from Everton but his for drops and no longer. A player can't just have it one min and lose it the next you have to see them as a whole. Wallace brings promotion experience calm head etc to the team so his valuable advice is more than enough to keep him in your squad regardless of what division. this team is he best team I've seen for a long time I don't believe any player deserves any criticism because they've all been ace and to me they can hack it. For 10 min here and there for bench warming for their experiences for their callings influences I could go on but this collective team all plays their part which a team like this would be vital in premiership. UTO.

Everyone has that belief in the squad now that we can comeback and win those games 4-5 that's the quality the team has shown all season and it's a breath of fresh air to have that belief in them. But personally I believe that result could be a blessing in disguise wake us up shake us up to get together and start performing again take some form into the playoffs. If we didn't lose that game we could have got comfortable and lost an important game. Get ready now we will be ok cannot wait for playoffs. UTO!
