How has Southampton only spent 4mil on Austin wasn't there a 10mil+ bid rejected in summer. I know it nothing to do with owls but can someone help me understand it lol.

Yeah lomas I had to look twice when it came on sky I'm almost certain last transfer window they were offering millions for him. Now the Rhodes rumour is£12 million for him crazy!!

I couldn't and still can't believe it yes he injured as of late but wow what a bargain we could have had him for that price haha wonder if his wages had something to do with it? And I wonder if there's a sell on clause where QPR get a nice packet if he sold or more after so many appearances that they haven't disclosed? Either way wow 4mil well done to them lol.

Omg didn't really look at your 12mil comment regarding Rhodes but according to tv Blackburn have approached Tottenham over loaning a striker forgot his name which is casting uncertainty on Rhodes with 2 championship clubs approaching them and one is believed to be US! And Blackburn wanting 12mil+ so your right there matey. that's is the furthest I've ever heard a rumour so close to being true regarding Rhodes. So who knows. Hope we sign hooper still though.

Southampton got Austin for only 4M as his contract is up this summer and QPR took what they could get rather than loose him for a free. They could ask for more in the summer as there was a chance if they had a good start he would have signed a new contract with them but they have started badly so they took what they could get. As for the Rhodes/ Hooper thing, I think that we may have enquired about Rhodes more as a summer deal rather than now, Hooper is looking odds on to sign for us before the end of this window.
