Why are we looking at someone who is now nowhere near as good as he was 10 years ago. You can't turn back the clock - it doesn't work.
Let's stick with the strikers we have and attempt to find the right balance.
After last Wednesday's fiasco, it was almost like watching The Fat Controller's tactics - playing at home and one up front - lump it big and hope for the best. Two shots at goal all game - just not good enough. I don't know how they had the audacity to collect their wages after that showing. There was not one player who stood out all night.

Because he will get goals at this level, our fans will be behind him 100% and we desperately need an experienced goal scorer.
Apart from that, I agree, he would be a poor signing.

I think a lad called David Hirst would be a good bet. He scored lots of goals last time he was with us so why can't he do that again. Maybe team him up with a young up man comer called Mark Bright and I can only see good things for the team!
