Just heard Bamford also signed new contract with Chelsea, and Blackburn slapped a £12 million price tag on Rhodes!

We are just over 2 weeks from the start of season and no striker yet. But the fans are expected to pay the excessive prices, this man is no better than MM milking the fans for all their worth. We didn't sign Bamforth, we can afford Rhodes and we continue to be linked with foreigners we have never heard of. Its going to be a long hard season not a promotion party.

Never heard of bamforth so glad we didn't sign him. MM and DC are 2 different characters and both saved us at different times. Wait until a ball is kicked before u can slay a team

I'm getting fed up now of people moaning and groaning he might have decided we don't need a striker judging that tactics have changed our strikers might be playing well with them. wait until the season I think Bus will be ace I also think lavery will be amazing just them two will surprise us. Also may will come good and nuhiu has brilliant hold up play I think we be ok.

I've been thinking the same, I think the strike force is pretty strong and we need a little more strength in depth in the midfield especially out wide. I don't think we will get any big high cost signings till at least the winter break when people have seen our form. Why would someone like Rhodes or Hooper come to us when in the last two seasons we have been a mid table club at best. Yes we have lots of money but we also have a new manager who is unproven in this league so bigger names will not consider us until we have proved we have some sort of form.

Well I'm an optimist and I'm just hoping for the best. I agree though let's get through 20+ games and re-evaluate then. Who knows what might happen any one of these young kids could turn into the next Rooney this season. I mean no one really thought that Lees and Westwood were going to be the rocks that they have been so have a little faith. And no matter how football saavy we all think we are these guys in Roeder and CC are guys that probably have forgotten more about football then Ill ever know so let's see what they have put together and go from there.
